Pastor Margaret Burton 'Do not despise small beginnings' was the theme for this year's annual Transform Our World global conference set in Honolulu on the beautiful island of Oahu, Hawaii. It was a gathering of people from all walks of life and many nations, with Dr Ed Silvoso and an international faculty from 6 continents - ordinary people doing extraordinary things for God. Making the world a better place, starting with their own sphere of influence. Once again, Dr Ed & Ruth Silvoso were our wonderful hosts for the week, and did a superb job of creating a close and precious family atmosphere in which we were able to relax, renew, refresh and yet at the same time be challenged to rise up to a higher level. During the week our church vision came to mind more than once and I was encouraged to see how it is being fulfilled. Truly we are: an influential body of people dedicated to the transformation of nations; a source of encouragement and blessing not only to our city and nation, but to the whole world; travelling all over the world as part of our global commitment to nation transformation. I realized once again just what an influence we had around the world, what a blessing we are and how people are inspired, challenged and encouraged when they hear our transformation testimonies. I was so blessed by other conference delegates, especially those I met for the first time, who came to tell me how blessed they had been by hearing about us. They were challenged to go home and start to make a difference in their sphere of influence. I was able to encourage more than one to believe that what was happening here could definitely happen in their church, in their town, in their nation. We were reminded again of the importance of knowing our true identity in God. One thing that Dr Ed Silvoso said that really impacted me was "Don't embarrass your father by behaving like a hired hand." We are not slaves, but we are precious sons and daughters of our Father God. He welcomes us to live with Him in His palace, not as His servants but as His children. We belong to His family, and we are all loved unconditionally. We need to move out of the servants' quarters and into the palace! We all need each other - right from the oldest to the youngest, and can all learn from each other and bless each other. God can use even the youngest amongst us to bless us. I saw this in action on the very last day of the conference when one of Dr Ed and Ruth Silvoso's grandsons, in total confidence because he knew who he was in God, reached out and began to pray for and bless the conference delegates! Once again, this wasn't just another conference experience it was yet another challenge to step up a level, to be inspired, to do bigger and better things for God. Pastor Ganokorn Moody I had such a blessed time during the conference. God's presence was amazing! God brought to me a lot of challenges to believe for transformation. We were encouraged not to despise small beginnings, but to have faith that what God is doing in and through us will lead to the expansion of the Kingdom of God in our own nation. I came back refreshed and empowered. The Lord gave me the passion to adopt the streets, especially the area around Phoonphon night plaza where our church is located. Now there is a prayer walk happening around it everyday. Praise God!
David Moody "We start off small, and we grow, and grow..." This is what Dr Ed Silvoso shared with us at the beginning of the conference. God's focus for me at this conference was my identity. It had become far too easy for me to put myself down, to tell myself that I'm not worthy of anything, but that is not what God says about me. It is not what He says about any of us. God began to reveal to me that I am His son, that we are all reborn as His sons and daughters. This means that we have all the authority that Jesus gave us [Matthew 28] to succeed in everything that we do. I am God's son, born of royalty, to bring His Kingdom to Earth. This is the key thing that God began to work in me in Hawaii, and is continuing to work in me.
Jill Robson After attending two incredible conferences in Argentina 2008 and Hawaii 2009, I noticed from this years' conference an increase in momentum of transformation around the world. Dr Ed Silvoso, our conference host, sensed this was a year of the Tipping Point and the various transformation testimonies that we heard during the week clearly showed that this could well be the case. There were approximately 15 of us representing the UK altogether, a large part being from Ireland. It was incredible to be reunited with my Thai family in Hawaii after one year back in England. One of the main things I took away with me this year was not to despise the day of small beginnings. I believe God has given me a grace to see great things ahead even though today the steps seem small. That mindset makes anything possible, and I have seen His supernatural hand at work affirming this since I returned to the UK. At this current time I am based in Hastings, and sowing the seeds of transformation through the 24/7 Prayer House and His Place Church. I have preached a months' sermons on the 5 Paradigms for Nation Transformation and Luke 10. Since then I've had an incredible response from many marketplace ministers who upon hearing this message for the first time found a new sense of purpose and destiny in their area of their influence in Hastings. During this time, I had a dream concerning a marketplace minister who I had met up with several times at Transform Our World events, Daniel Ghinn and his wife who live an hour away from me in Maidstone. Up until this point we had not touched base with each other much. This dream, however, was very specific in regards to a situation that they were in, and when I shared it with them it was their exact situation, and we knew God was divinely bringing us together to further transformation in this area. Since finishing preaching on the 5 Paradigms, the marketplace ministers in Hastings have joined Daniel Ghinn's group 'Business for Christ' to further grow and receive impartation in business and kingdom finance, as well as signing up to join Marketplace Minsters starting in January 2012 in Maidstone. The transforming power of blessing that Jesus taught in Luke 10 is clearly needed in UK. Recently I have become part of those, from around the UK, praying specifically for the Olympics to be held in London next year. I also had the opportunity to share with the prayer team how the power of blessing is needed to prepare this nation for what we will be hosting. We have learned so much from Dr Ed Silvoso's teaching on Luke 10 that speaking peace and blessing changes the spiritual climate over an area, and it is very encouraging to see a growing hunger and eagerness from others to receive the truths of Luke 10 and implement them once they also hear this teaching. Finally, the Adopt a Street programme with the Street Pastors UK will go national next year, which will bring the power of Luke 10 around the country into the streets of nearly every big city and many towns. With the spiritual climate being changed through blessing in UK and God's people rightly positioned anything is possible in this coming year. Watch this space...........
Helen Sinkinson Once again this was a life-changing experience rather than just another conference. The last time I was able to go to a transformation conference was in Argentina in 2008, and I've been waiting to attend the conference again for the last 3 years. As always, God's timing is immaculate, and as soon as I read the theme for the week, "Do not despise small beginnings", I knew I was in the right place at the right time. Whilst I was encouraged that God can do great things with even my currently "small" efforts in Germany, God also spent a lot of time talking to me about my identity in Him. I may be small in stature, but I am not insignificant. He has given me a crown and a thick velvety red robe to wear. I am His princess, of whom He is very proud. I am not simply a visitor in His palace - I live there. And I don't live there as a servant, but as His child, with the freedom, rights and privileges that a princess has!! I am still in the process of really taking this in, but I know that it will have a deep impact, and in fact already is having an impact, on my thoughts, attitudes and actions. God showed me in Hawaii how I often compare myself to others, how easily I put myself down and how I often doubt how I can be a blessing to others, particularly when they have been Christians longer than me or are doing seemingly greater things than me. I am also very thankful for divine appointments, for meeting an American lady who has a heart to pray for Germany, and has committed to praying for me. After the first evening session, a very special thing happened which is scary and an honour at the same time. Pastor Brian asked if I would like to become a missionary from PCC to Germany! I knew I should accept, and so Pastor Brian commissioned me in prayer. It is incredible how God is using PCC to fulfil the vision of being a church to the nations, and it is a real privilege for me to serve with PCC for the transformation of nations.
