“For the Son of Man has come to seek and to save that which was lost.” Luke 19:10 God’s Word very clearly tells us that Jesus came to seek and save all that was lost. What was lost? Not only our relationship with God the Father, but also our relationship with each other: particularly that between men and women. Jesus’ victory over death on the cross, brought reconciliation to both these areas. As men and women embrace their true identities in God, and take their place alongside each other as His chosen Ekklesia, the results will be powerful. We will reflect the true and full image of God to the world, and bring His Kingdom near. Jesus said to her, “Mary!” She turned and said to Him in Hebrew, “Rabboni!” (which means, Teacher). Jesus said to her, “ … go to My brethren and say to them, ‘I ascend to My Father and your Father, and My God and your God.’” Mary Magdalene came, announcing to the disciples, “I have seen the Lord,” and that He had said these things to her.John 20:16-18 NASB As transformation women of destiny may we hear and respond to Jesus’ voice like Mary Magdalene did on that first Easter morning. She had the honour and privilege of being the first to see the resurrected Jesus, and was commissioned by Him to spread the message of His resurrection. This carried all the authority and power of God to speak His Word. Like Mary, He is calling us by name, He’s commissioning us and giving us His authority and power to declare His Word. It’s time to rise up at His command and live in the power of Jesus’ resurrection. A very happy and blessed Easter to you as you walk in your God given authority, and celebrate the resurrection of our Lord and Saviour, Jesus Christ! It’s all because of Him! Margaret J Burton
