Women: God's Secret Weapon

God is all about restoration, first of all mankind back into right relationship with Himself, and secondly reconciliation between men and women. In his book, “Women: God’s Secret Weapon”, Dr Ed Silvoso, Founder and President of Harvest Evangelism, shares with us his godly insights into the role of women and the importance that they have in God’s master plan. When godly women recognize their true identity, take their place alongside godly men as His chosen ekklesia, together they are a powerful force to push back the darkness and bring the Kingdom of God near to those in their sphere of influence.

In March I took 17 women from Phuket Christian Centre through a 6 week course studying Dr Ed Silvoso’s book: “Women: God’s Secret Weapon. It was an amazing time together as we learned the importance of recognizing and embracing our true identity in God. We discovered God’s heart for us as women. He values us, and has created us to play a very important part in His master plan, alongside godly men.

This course, in conjunction with the very powerful messages on Sunday mornings from Pastor Brian on Ephesians, confirmed to us the importance of reconciliation between men & women, between people from different ethnic groups, between parents and children, and also between employers and employees.

In Christ we are all one, and as we work together in unity we reflect the full image of God to the world. Together we’re His chosen Ekklesia here in Phuket, have every right to minister in His full authority with confidence knowing that we’re His sons and daughters.

There is neither Jew nor Greek, slave nor free, male nor female, for you are all one in Christ Jesus. If you belong to Christ, then you are Abraham’s seed, and heirs according to the promise.” Galatians 3:38,39 NIV

The message that God wants us to understand through the insights that He’s given to Dr Ed Silvoso in his book is the Father heart of God towards us, His daughters. He loves us, values us, and has created us to have an important part in His master plan. God is all about restoration, first of all mankind back into right relationship with Himself, and secondly reconciliation between men and women. God has a perfect design for all of us, in every one of our relationships – family, marriage, church, business, and community. As women we need to understand our value in God’s eyes and the significant role that we play as His daughters, and men need to grasp the importance of partnering with women to see God’s plans and purposes established on earth. We need God and we need each other. We are not to be in competition with each other, but are to recognize that we’re made in God’s image - equal but different - and as we work in unity we’ll be a powerful force in the Kingdom of God. This applies to singles as well as to those who are married; God’s principles are applicable for all our relationships.

I would highly recommend that you read this excellent book. Why not get together with a few other women to read it along with you?  Go through the Study Guide, and as you pray and minister to one another allow its message to change your life!

God is looking for women who are living out a transformational lifestyle.  Women who believe that, no matter how small it may seem to be at first, they can make a difference.  Are you that woman? If you believe that you can make a start by speaking peace and blessing over someone in your sphere of influence, then, in faith, arise at God’s command and be amazed at what He will do in and through you!

“The Lord gives the command; the women who proclaim the good tidings are a great host.” Psalm 68:11 NASB
